About Haryana Chess Association

The Haryana Chess Association (HCA), established in 1988 in Kurukshetra (Regn. No. 2762 of 87–88) and later registered in Gurgaon under Regn. No. HR018201401194, is the official governing body of chess in Haryana, recognized and affiliated with the All India Chess Federation (AICF).

As the only authorized chess body in the state, HCA is committed to promoting chess in Haryana through its strong network of affiliated district units. Over the years, we have successfully organized numerous state, national, and international chess tournaments, positioning Haryana as one of India’s leading chess hubs.

Today, Haryana proudly celebrates the achievements of its players, including two Grandmasters (GMs) and one International Master (IM), alongside several rising stars who consistently secure top 20 positions in Indian national chess championships

Every year, HCA hosts prestigious national-level chess events in Haryana, inspiring young minds to embrace the game and nurturing the next generation of champions. With a mission to spread awareness, training, and opportunities, the Haryana Chess Association continues to strengthen the chess culture in Haryana.
